Sailing Day Trips Athens

The Best of the Greek Seas - In a Single Day.

A Vlamis day cruise is the most elegant way to experience the Greek seas without committing to a week aboard. Step off your Athens hotel doorstep in the morning, sail to a Saronic island for lunch and a swim, and be back at the marina by early evening - refreshed, sun-warm, and a little reluctant to leave.

Every cruise is private and operated by Vlamis directly. The yacht and skipper are exclusively yours for the day. Routes can be tailored to your group, and additions like a chef-prepared Greek lunch on board, hotel transfers, or a sunset wine-and-cheese return are all simple to arrange.

Vlamis also operates daily cruise programmes from Santorini, with vessels of 10, 20 and 50 passenger capacity. If you are visiting Santorini and looking for a private or shared day cruise around the caldera, contact us directly for availability and pricing.

Day Cruises Athens - FAQs

The questions our guests ask most often before stepping aboard.

Where do day cruises from Athens depart from?

All Vlamis daily cruises depart from Alimos Marina, Athens - Kapodistriou 6, 17455 Alimos.

The marina is roughly 15 minutes by taxi from central Athens, 20 minutes from Athens International Airport, and easily reached by public transport from Syntagma. We can arrange a private transfer from any Athens hotel on request.

How long does a day cruise last?

Half-day cruises run for 4 hours, typically departing at 10:00 or 15:00.

Full-day cruises run for 8 hours, departing at 10:00 and returning around 18:00. Longer routes - for example the Saronic Triangle visiting Aegina, Poros and Hydra in a single day - can be extended to 10 hours by prior arrangement.

What is included in a Vlamis daily cruise?

Every daily cruise includes a professional English-speaking skipper, all fuel and marina fees, snorkelling equipment, towels and cushions, and a cooler with water and soft drinks.

A Greek meze platter, BBQ lunch, drinks package, hostess or chef can be added on request, as can private hotel pickup in Athens.

Can I book a private day cruise for my family or group?

Yes - every Vlamis day cruise is private by default. The yacht is reserved exclusively for your group, up to the licensed guest capacity of the vessel (typically 8 to 12 guests).

If you are travelling solo or as a couple and would prefer to share a yacht with other guests, see our Shared Holidays programme.
