Yacht Charter Mykonos

Arrive by yacht. Leave when you choose. Mykonos from the water is a different island entirely: windmills at sunrise, the sacred isle of Delos by day, and the best dinner table on the harbourfront by evening.

Why Charter Around Mykonos?

Mykonos is the most cosmopolitan island in Greece, and arriving by yacht changes your relationship with it entirely. You anchor off the old town in the morning before the day boats arrive, visit the sacred ancient site of Delos on your own schedule, and find the secluded swimming bays that the ferry passengers never reach.

As part of a Cyclades charter itinerary, Mykonos is typically a two-night stop, one night at anchor off the old town, one in a marina or at the northern coast anchorages. Paros, Naxos and Delos are all within a few hours' sail. The Meltemi winds in July and August make for fast, exhilarating sailing on this part of the Cyclades.

Vlamis Yachts departs from Alimos Marina in Athens. Mykonos is a full day's sail or an overnight passage, most charterers include it as part of a one-week Cyclades itinerary covering 4 to 6 islands.

What to Expect

Mykonos by Yacht

Delos, Sacred Island

The birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, entirely uninhabited today. One of the most significant archaeological sites in Greece. Anchor off and take the short tender ride ashore, your yacht is the best way to visit without the crowds.

Little Venice

The iconic row of Cycladic houses built right to the water's edge in Mykonos town. Best seen from the water at sunset, position your yacht for the view before heading ashore for dinner.

Secluded Bays

Mykonos has several bays on its northern and eastern coast that are inaccessible by road and overlooked by day-trippers. Your yacht gets you there in the morning before the water taxis arrive and leaves whenever you choose.
